What will you learn?

• How to orient yourself in space (on the board) and move according to given tasks.
• How to recognize directions: up, down, left, right.
• Cardinal directions: north, south, east, west.

How to play:

Game 1 (Ages 5-7) – Following Arrow Instructions

• Choose a matching set of sheets and place the background sheet on the magnetic board.
• Using the challenge sheet as a guide, the child places magnetic arrows step by step to connect the starting point to the finish.
• For example, the bee is trying to reach its hive.
  • In levels 1-4, the child starts at the bee and follows the given instructions to place arrows that lead to the hive shown on the right.
  • In levels 5-6, the challenge becomes more advanced: instead of following a visible path, the child must determine which hive the bee will reach by correctly following the instructions.

Game 2 (Ages 6-7) – Cardinal Directions & Orientation

• Take the “Cruise on a Sailboat” sheets and place the background sheet on the board.
• Using the compass rose as a guide, the child follows the instructions on the challenge sheet using cardinal directions: East (E), West (W), North (N), and South (S).
• By following the directions step by step, the player navigates across the board to reach the correct destination.
