Mikado is the classic game of collecting the greatest number of sticks by picking them from a pile of randomly distributed sticks, without moving any of the rest. Through the game, children practice their hand-eye coordination, enhance their fine-motor skills & observation.
The set includes 41 wooden sticks.
The aim of the game is to gather the most points by picking up sticks from the pile, without moving or touching the rest ones.
To set up the game, hold all sticks in one hand vertically to the table and release them, so that they form a randomly shaped pile.
The youngest player plays first, and the game continues clockwise. The players in their turn try to pick up a stick without touching or moving the rest of the pile. If they succeed, they gain the stick and they can continue picking up another one, until they fail. When they fail, they leave the stick as it is in the pile. A stick from the gained ones can be used, so to assist the player in picking and moving one another, but again the rest of the pile must not be moved.
When all sticks from the pile are picked up, the players count the points of their gained sticks and the player with the most points wins!
